The VMTMIX file is when the MBINV file is provided in EMS-95 format. It contains factors to disaggregate the data totals by vehicle type. This file can be in EMS-95 column-specific format, or in a list-directed format based on the EMS-95 column-specific format. The roadway type or road class codes used in either VMTMIX file format must match the codes that are used in the MBINV file.
For both file formats, a header line is needed to indicate the number and order of vehicle types listed in the file. The standard EMS-95 structure is
